Probe Accounts
This sections describes the user accounts the Prelude Probe runs under
MacOS and Linux
Mac and Linux use a Prelude created user account to run the probe:
Mac: _preludesecurity
Linux: preludesecurity
Proxy: Ensure the above account is allowed to authenticate through your proxy.
In some cases you may need to define http_proxy info in the /opt/preludesecurity/service-environment file:
Windows
Windows hosts run under a restricted, built in user account "Local Service".
Proxy: Ensure the Local Service account is able to authenticate through your proxy. If needed, you can define a different account for the Prelude Probe to run under by modifying the properties of the "Prelude Probe Service".
